The HUGE problem is when you don’t accept the feelings you have about liking or disliking. When your body feels something, and it’s the body that feels and the mind that thinks, it just does. People often follow their unpleasant feeling(s) with a shutting down, a denial or some form of; “I don’t want to feel this.”
In all truth and honesty - you feel what you feel!! What you CAN do with your feelings are accept them fully and move on as they dissolve.
Yes, YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT YOUR FEELINGS. Why? Because they are there and you are having them. It’s like passing smelly gas and saying “I don’t want this to smell.” How crazy is that? It smells!
Feelings don’t make what you like or dislike a fact or the truth. They are simply the body response you have to the things in life; people, experiences, places, your life. Your feelings are information about how you are responding to something from the past, present or future.
